the hint button

Life is like a game.
Endeavors are given to surpass strenuous levels. Each level provides an adequate reward. But there goes a formidable level, where you chose the easy way out. You compromised and hit the hint button. The answer is unveiled but you lost some of your rewards.
People become sinners when they chose the easy way out. They commit something easier to do whenever they face a thorny situation, just like how they use hints to provide solutions in games. The life of Nicomedes Allan B. Garcia is a resemblance to this.
Mr. Nicomedes Allan Bellosillo Garcia was an ex-convict of a murder case and illegal possession of firearms. He is a 46-year old resident of Pavia, Iloilo City and is the eldest son in the family with seven younger siblings. Before the tragic incident happened, he worked as a security guard in Antipolo City. The felony also happened in that area where he accidentally shot his second-degree maternal uncle.
“May inuman, nalasing, nag-away.” [There’s a party, I got drunk, I lost control.] Mr. Garcia summarized. He was indicted in murder and illegal possession of firearms and was imprisoned for 14 years.
“Mahirap sa loob. Maraming limitasyon. Napakahirap. Hindi madali.” [Life is not easy inside (the jail). There are many limitations. It’s too difficult. It was never easy.] he said when asked about his experiences inside.
Fortunately, he found someone to lean on even before he got released. He got married to Mrs. Mary Jane and they had a child who is now 11 years old. He was finally released four years ago. His family has a canteen in school where Mrs. Garcia works as a principal.
“Habang nasa loob ka, magtiyaga ka lang. Matuto ka lang dapat sumunod. at hindi ka na gagawa ng kalokohan sa loob para humaba ang buhay mo hanggang sa lumaya ka na. Siyempre pagkalaya mo, dapat maging maayos ka na. Ayusin mo na yung buhay mo.” [In jail, you need to be persistent. You have to learn how to obey (rules) and you must not do foolish things so that you can live longer until the day of your release. Of course, if you’re released, you have to sort yourself out. You have to fix your life.] Mr. Garcia said.

In times of drawback, it is also evident that we lose some of what was ours mainly in desperate circumstances. Still, it is not too late to recover and regain what we lost, as what Mr. Garcia illustrated.
There are still levels in our lives where we have chances to solve the problems without using the easy way out or hitting the hint button. At long last, what we lost will be regained through continuous perseverance, enthusiast, and faith.
