COC held a Convocation about Mental Health

College of Communication conducted a convocation about Mental Health last August 24 at Bulwagang Balagtas, PUP Main.
The convocation is part of the celebration of the 18th founding anniversary of COC.
The main speaker of this year convocation is Senator Risa Hontiveros, unfortunately, the senator failed to come. The senator prepared a video greeting for the college and reminding everyone the importance of mental health.
Dr. Shiela Marie Hocson, Former President of Philippine Guidance and Counseling Association Inc, talked about Mental Wellness. She discussed factors that will help people to be mentally healthy.
The second speaker, Dr. Ian I. Llenares, a Human Behavior Researcher, shared his knowledge about the topic Peers in Maintaining Mental Health.
And on the last topic, Father Stephen Mifsud, former PUP chaplain, explained the topic Spiritual and Mental well-being of Young People.
According to the students, the convocation is a big help to overcome some of their struggles as it gave them ideas on how to face it.
