"No matter what anybody tells you, words and ideas can change the world."
This quotation from Mr. Keating sums up what the movie wanted to teach and tell. Through the inspiring and witty words from a passionate professor, the students started to follow what they heart says and what their passion screams.
There are moments in life that we tend to feel that we're afraid to do things not because we are not good at it but because of the fear of trying. It leads to pessimism and discouraging ourselves that we are not good at anything, not even on a single talent or thing.
Sometimes we are not discouraged by people, we are also discouraged by ourselves but time will come that the void in our hearts which is the hole allotted for passion will come as real, we will meet a certain person that will inspire us to be the best version of ourselves.
The movie also tackles different issues inside the family and the school. The family who should be the source of strength of the child and the school, whose obligation is to shape and mold the students; both of these turned out differently and unexpectedly.
As the movie goes, you can see the enjoyment of the students as they are participating in the lecture of Mr. Keating. No learning barriers and teaching difficulties because of the uniqueness of the not so traditional teaching style of Mr. Keating, the way he encourages the students to do what they want and to claim what they deserve.
Mr. Keating wants to show that learning should never end in a four-cornered classroom. Learning should be beyond memorizing what's on the book; who invented this and who wrote that. He encouraged his students not to be bad kids but to stand on their own and follow their passion.

Carpe diem. Seize the day. Make the best out of life and always do things the way you wanted to; these are the lessons everyone can learn on the film. Life may not always be rainbows and butterflies but it will always be a matter of perspective so always try to look things differently.
Do not be pressured by the standards of society, be it your family, acquaintances, relatives or even friends. We are the author of our own life. We are the poets of our own poetry. There are circumstances that we can't control but as the saying goes, "if there's a will, there's a way," no one can stop the person from doing things that he/she wants to do.
The school may be driven by ideologies such tradition, honor, discipline and excellence but at the end of the day, the most important values should always remain; unity, kindness and a strive for passion.
Always choose to do the things that makes you feel alive. You only live once so live free to the fullest. It is not your responsibility to please others and to choose them over your happiness. Stand on your own and do not ever be afraid to choose yourself first.
